S IS FOR SILENCE

challenge_name:

Another satisfying read from Sue Grafton.  A little more involved that some of her books.  Lots of flash backs to wrack up the tension and make a simple investigation a lot more interesting.

A Is For Alibi by Sue Grafton

challenge_name:

Having read all of the Stephanie Plum books, and hearing good reviews for Sue Grafton, I decided to start with the book that introduced detective Kinsey Millhone - and now I'm hooked!  A very enjoyable audiobook made all the better by the narration of Judy Kaye, this Random House Audio was so good I can't wait to go through the rest of the alphabet!

A is for Alibi by Sue Grafton

challenge_name:

Good example of the quintessential hard-boiled detective, except it's a woman. Interesting dead-ends makes for a more realistic story. NFM

'D' is for Deadbeat

Well I sure didn't enjoy this book as well as the first three books in the series.  I guess the dark side of a person's mind turned me off. This book failed to hold my interest and it took more than one sitting to read it through.  I even read a couple of other books while I was still trying to read this one.

"O" Is for Outlaw

challenge_name:

Another Kinsey Millhone mystery.

The call comes on a Monday monring from a guy who scavenges defaulted storage units at auction.  The weekend before, he'd bought a stack of cardboard boxes.  In one, there was a collection of childhood memorabilia with Kinsey's name all over it.  For thirty bucks, he was offering Kinsey the lot.

N Is for Noose

challenge_name:

The latest in the Kinsey Millhone series.
