Susan Hill

I loved Susan Hill's other ghost stories - The Woman in Black and The Mist in The Mirror but  this one was short and slow, relying too much on atmosphere and with little actual story.  There was very little real chill about it - which  was a disappointment as I was just in the mood for a good ghost story.
