Audiobook
Strangers in Death
It's funny, but I've come across several variations of this plot in a couple of TV shows and a book all in the last month or so, so the plot wasn't as riveting for me as it might have been other wise. Solidly written and enjoyable none-the-less.
Creation in Death
Another solid, interesting story in the the Eve Dallas series.
Book 182 - Always Looking Up: The Adventures of an Incurable Optimist by Michael J Fox
this book is somethign of a continuation of Lucky Man. It covers the last decade of MJF's life, actually picking up at the end of Lucky Man, even duplicating a small part of it. I wasn't quite as emotional over this one as LM, but it was still a very good book. I thought MJF read a little bit too fast in this one, having been slower in LM, but that may be a result of his Parkinson's, I dont know.
Book 180 - Lucky Man by Michael J Fox
I rarely read non-fiction, and even less often read biographies or memoirs but I've had this one on the book case for a long time but never got around to reading it. So when I saw the audio at the library, I had to check it out. I've been a fan of Michael J Fox for years and always thought of him as an All-American Good Guy.
Book 179 - The Walker Papers Book 4: Walking Dead by CE Murphy
great story in the Walker Papers series with ghosts, zombies, magical black cauldrons, spiritual gardens and worlds, and even a god or two. Joanna's really coming in to her own as the series progresses.
In a Bind by Stephanie Bond (Harlequin Blaze, 2008)
3 to 3 !/2 Hearts....While I enjoyed this story, especially the parts about the opals in Australia, the fact that both H and h had serious relationships with other people really bothered me. I think I would have liked the book more if they had been more honest. I also missed the humor that I enjoyed in the other Bond book I had read.
Copied Blurb:
The Charlemange Pursuit
Questions from his son have made Cotton Malone want to find out what happened when his father's submarine went down in 1971. However, he did not realize that requesting the classified file would cause all of the fallout that it did.
Book 178 - Three Wishes by Barbara Delinsky
very good book. i waited WAAAAYYYY too long to finally read this one (I've had the book since it first came out in MMPB back in the 90s. Very good story. Very sad too. There is so much foreshadowing that I kinda knew what to expect, but it still got to me and made me cry. Love the story though. NFM
Book 176 - Life Expectancy by Dean Koontz
Well this is a tough one to classify. I settled on labeling it a Thriller, but that doesn't quite fit. Anyhow, very good book, if extremely odd. Jimmy Tock's grandfather makes several predictions/prophecies about Jimmy's birth and life, including the "5 most dreadful days" of Jimmy's life, right before his grandfather dies, at the exact moment Jimmy is born.
Finger Lickin' Fifteen
I waited and waited to get this book from the library and finally had to settle for the audio version. I told myself with the last Stephanie Plum I read that I would just stop reading the series. The characters never develop and, frankly, their stupidity is really annoying me. And yet, I keep reading the books.
