Book 193 - The Christmas Bus by Melody Carlson
not the best book I have ever read, but it was a very sweet story about the angels among us and how we never know when God has put someone in our life for a specific reason, until the need is resolved. And it's often the least likely of people who have the greatest impact on our lives. Inspiring Christmas story with a delightful cast of characters. NFM
The Cavanaugh Code
It was a well written book and I enjoyed it but not as much as some of Ms. Ferrarella's other books. However, I really enjoyed Laredo's sense of fun. It really got on Taylor's nerves at times.
Christmas Wishes, Mistletoe Kisses by Fiona Harper (HR #4062, Nov 08)
Lovely read about a woman, Louise Thornton, who finally had the courage to divorce her unfaithful movie-star husband. She buys a home in the country and meets the landscape architect, Ben Oliver, who has been keeping the garden from totally going wild in the two years since the prior owner's death (he had made a promise). The chemistry between them and their children is well-written. I liked how Louise grew into herself. Made for a satisfactory ending. NFM
Woman Hater by Diana Palmer ... QC #377
5 Hearts! ~~~ This is by far my favourite Diana Palmer to date! Nicky and Winthrop both have pain and betrayal in their pasts, and shy away from commitment. I loved how Nicky slowly brought Winthrop some light in his life and how their relationship builds until neither can live without the other. Ms Palmer has a remarkable talent for creativing sizzling chemistry that adds delicious tension that continues at a high level throughout the story. This is one Diana Palmer book that should not be missed!
Woman Hater by Diana Palmer ~ Silhouette Romance #532 ~ October 1987
If Winter Comes by Diana Palmer ... QC #376
3 ½ Hearts! ~~~ Carla is a young reporter who is still learning the ropes. Her assignment is the city political scene and this puts her right into the Mayor's domaine. Bryan's a widower and since his wife and daughter's death has given all his attention to his job as mayor. There's something about the quirky new reporter on the beat that sparks his attention and he finds he's eager to be with her and does all he can to pursue a relationship. All is well, until Carla has to turn a story that could ruin Bryan's career. Though, I really enjoyed this lovestory, I found it didn't have the intensity I've come to expect from Ms. Palmer. A very good read though.
If Winter Comes by Diana Palmer ~ Harlequin Special Release ~ originally published in 1980
Bengal's Heart
Crime Scene at Cardwell Ranch
This was one of Harlequin's free reads. I totally enjoyed it and got caught up in the story of Dana Cardwell and Marshall Hudson Savage.
It's a Harlequin Intrigue, and Ms. Daniels made sure she left you feeling caught up during the entire read.
If you haven't read this yet, I highly suggest it.
2 Briefs, 1 Bite & 1 Mini
