Irresistible Forces
This was a Kimani Press book; one of Harlequin's free online reads. It's a story about Taylor Steele who wants to have a baby and Dominic Saxon, the man she chooses to be her baby's father. They had met years before when she became Dominic's financial advisor after his wife's death. Secretly they have both been interested in each other, but neither had wanted to mix business with pleasure.

I've been following Jen since her first book and she always delivers a solid romance, with compelling characters and believable circumstances. Alicia has been secretly dating Rick Jones, knowing if her protective older brother found out, he'd interfere with the blossoming relationship.

A Cinderella Christmas
This is a bit short for the guidelines for the book reviews, but I'm logging it anyway as it's ALMOST there, and surely to goodness I can offset it a bit with the 2462 pages from Echo in the Bone!?
A cute light hearted Christmas story, set in the eccentric town of Noelle, Alberta. There is a person there really named Santa, and they train reindeer and have races with them.

292. Conquest by S.J. Frost ~ stellar coming of age and m/m romance
5 hearts ~ I chanced upon this story during one of Ethan Day's monthly chats wherein authors are welcome to post excerpts of books awaiting release, new releases or just a book that they want to promote. One of the excerpts posted was by an author that I hadn't heard of, but boy did it grab my attention. So of course I got CONQUEST when it was released and I enjoyed every last bit of it.

The Maverick
I love feisty females and Alice sure fits that description and she also has a wonderful sense of the ridiculous. She and Harley make quite the pair.It was also good to see Harley develop from a cocky young know it all to a man with substance. It was great to catch up with old characters as well as new who are starting on a new and dangerous adventure. I am looking forward to the ongoing series.

First, let me say that I'm upset that it takes 2-3 years for each one of these to come out. Diana Gabaldon has left us hanging....
