Come October
Overall, this was a pretty good story. Most of the time, it seemed like a sad book but the author did a good job of concluding the book in a satisfactory way. She sure can tell a good story because I kept on turning the pages. Claire Sherman had a great life until one day, everything changed. She was in an accident and now she goes by the name Elena Lopez.
Christmas Presence: Three Tales of Love - and a thank you to Susan Crosby
Back in June I commented on a blog of Susan Crosby's and she sent me this book, which I saved until closer to the Christmas holiday season. Now, Nov 2 may not seem close - but I figured that once Halloween was over, I had better start in on some of my Christmas books - the boxes of seasonal books got knocked over by the cats, and is now one BIG box, which is rather intimidating.
The Merry Widow's Diary by Susan Crosby - Will Jill's penchant for list-making get her through her grief to happiness?
Jill Townsend has gone quite suddenly from being a loved and pampered wife to a widow struggling with the changes in her life and her emotional responses to them. When she finds a key in her husband's belongings, she is determined to find the story behind it and to find out who she really is as she builds a new life for herself.
Captive at the Sicilian Billionaire's Command - Penny Jordan
Interesting and a surprise twist to me towards the end. Rocco is a strong guy with a hidden heart of gold. Glad he figured out what was important and voiced it. Julie did not sem to have a great life before him came along. Parents who ignored her, a spoiled brat of a sibling who could do no wrong, even when stealing what was not hers to begin with. Sucha sweet little baby though
Constant change catches up with a woman...
This is not a romance, I would call it womens fiction.
Risky Business
Compelling reading.
"Sue Ellen Carson was on a roll.
Book 43. Lucky BY Jennifer Greene (Har. Next)
Kasey Crandall would have defined her life as "Lucky". Married to a wealthy husband, and pregnant with once in a lifetime baby. But when the delivery doens't go as planned, she can't help think something is wrong with baby Tess.
The Merry Widow's Diary by Susan Crosby
I won this book from Susan, and am I ever glad I did. I loved Jill, though I didn't like what she did to Bobby. I loved Alain and liked Shanna. I didn't like Wade very much because he seemed to make Jill over from what she should have been, but he redeemed himself with the loft. Tori has a lot of growing up to do, but I believe she will come along. Any chance of a follow-up to this story?
Confessions Of A Party Crasher
