Harlequin Romance

• Stacy is a widow with a small son. When her late husband’s father invites her to his Greek island so he can meet his little grandson, Stacy has doubts the visit will go well. Her husband, Alexis, and his father had been estranged because of the father’s demanding ways.

My Opinion: A beautiful poignant story. Like all romances the story did have a happy ending. Both characters have secrets and because of those secrets they aren’t honest about their feelings. They fear that there failure will destroy any chance of happiness. Both need to clean the air with their spouse so that they can get on with their lives. They are a good couple together but .....

Steele has a timeless voice. I only knew this story was set in the present because it came out of the Romance line. Change a few details and it could have been an Historical, or change a few other details and it could have been a Present. I think it is the first book I have read in quite a while where it was all from the Heroine’s POV—not my favorite type of read.

I really loved this book. Strachan and Gisella, probably the two characters with the oddest names, really had quite a relationship. I loved the conflict between them, especially as Gisella started to realize that she had more feelings for Strachan than just a subject of an interview for an article.

I usually love Leigh's books but for some reason this one just didn't do it for me.

Its the story of two friends that really need to get it together but haven't.

I think it was because Gianna was so oblivious to Blake's attempts for them to get together. She seemed a little too dense.
