Okay, I’m going to be honest—I did not expect to like this book. I only picked it up because I’ve been wanting to read a Nocturne ever since the line debuted. I’m not a big paranormal fan, so the blurb for this story didn’t really get me going.
Lori Devoti, Unbound: I liked this a lot and wish it was longer. Devoti uses Nordic mythology for her worldbuilding; the hero is a Hellhound, enslaved to an evil witch; her heroine a woman in a world essentially like our contemporary one, who doesn't yet know that she is a wit
First things first, there is a lot going on in this book. I don't want to give away too much just in case someone who hasn't read the book stumbles across this review - so no spoilers here.
I have actually already read this book when it came out for Oct 2007 but I loved it so much that I had to reread it. I love CSI shows and the idea of an Otherworldly crime scen unit is so cool to me.
A perfect followup to book one in the series. Jeremy and Jillian are as appealing as hero and heroine as Mason and Torry.

A great start to a wonderful series. What I love about this story is that both the hero and heroine grow and I can't help but admire them. For readers who love a great romance with paranormal element, this is the perfect story for you.

Landon Rourke and Jachin (Ya-kin) Black are the first two heroes of Patrice Michelle's mesmerizing Scions series and were inspired by a particularly vivid dream.
In Book Two of the Blood Runners half/breed Jeremy Burns must reclaim his heritage and rejoin the pack in order to find the traitor within.
Jillian Murphy is the pack's healer/witch (Spirit Walker), and the mate who rejected Jeremy ten years before, after some of the locals set Jeremy up.
Jeremy and Jillian must work together if they wish to save the innocents.
