Romancing the Nanny by Cindy Kirk (Special Edition #1818)
I bought this book, because I enjoyed Cindy Kirk's The Tycoon's Son. And I liked the idea of a widowed father falling in love with his daughter's nanny. Sadly, I didn't like the heroine at all and the hero is not that likable either. She is too biddable for most of the book (she does stand up for herself in the end) and he is too calculating (until he realizes that he loves her).
The Daddy Dilemma by Karen Rose Smith (Special Edition #1884)
I feel so very lucky! Another new to me author, another huge backlist to glom.
The story: Sara Hobart donated her eggs to finance her mother's medical treatments. Six years later she finds out that she can't have children. Sara needs to know if she is Kyle Barclay's birth mother. Kyle's widowed father, Nathan, is none to happy even if he can't deny the attraction.
A Bravo Christmas Reunion – Christine Rimmer (Silhouette Special Edition) Dec 07
WHAT BROUGHT HIM TO HER DOOR…
…Marcus Reid couldn’t say. But then Hayley Bravo opened her door, and he got a good look at her burgeoning stomach! She appeared to be about eight months along. So was this proof that she’d gotten over him fast…or that they were connected, now and forever?
Months ago, Hayley had walked out on Marcus, even though it was the hardest thing she’d ever done. Because though she knew he’d do the right thing by her, she was holding out for the real thing. Love. Baby. Marriage. And apparently in that order…
The Man Next Door
Very nice story. Loved Teague and Dani. The epilogue almost threw me for a minute. The story moved along smoothly. Everyone loves a battered hero.
Her Mr Right
This is one in a series entitled The Wilder Family. It is about Neil Kane, and investigator for the State Dept that has been sent to the hospital to check out reports of misuse and abuse of hospitals services. A conglomerate is trying to take over the hospital and change it from a family run to a corporate run health care facilty.
Heart of Stone
The latest in Diana Palmer's Long, Tall Texans series explores the peril-frought relationship between nineteen-year-old Keely Welsh and the steely, unfriendly Boone Sinclair--a true long, tall Texan if ever I've read one.
Palmer continues to be a master of the cowboy genre. Coming September 2008 to Silhouette Special Edition.
Millionaire Takes a Bride by Pamela Toth (SSE 1353)
It's Sarah Daniel's wedding day and she's marrying her friend Dan – she loves his family but is worried that she might not have romantic feelings for him. She's even written him a letter explaining why she couldn't marry him but she didn't have the guts to give it to him. Then Ryan Noble shows up while she's getting ready in her dress and demands she talk to him, but when she passes out from too many tranquilizers and not enough breakfast, he sort of kidnaps her – to prevent her from getting married before they could talk it out.
Valentine's Secret Child
Kelly Bravo has a 9 year old daughter as a result of her relationship with Michael Vakulic. They went their separate ways before they even knew a child was coming. She tried to find him, but finally gave up. Suddenly, he reappears - with a new name and new life. He doesn't believe the child is his at first, but he grows to love her. Can he rediscover the love he had for her mother?
Here and Then
Makes you feel like you've gone back with Rue. I want to go. I've always wanted to go back to that era and this is one way that it's possible. Good story and written at it's best. Can't wait for the next one!!
