The Dark Side of Night by Cindy Dees

About halfway through I gave up on this one for a little while. It had a strong, action-filled beginning, but then I got a bit bored. I am so glad I picked it up, however, because the last half is fantastic!

Attorney Jill Clark Nicholas is sitting in the executive suite on the top floor of the Icon Building in New Orleans taking a deposition from corrupt CEO Donald Merrit when a bomb threat is reported. 

This is one of Robert Crais's detective novels starring private eye Elvis Cole and his ever vigilant partner Joe Pike.  The novel begins with Cole taking on the case of a young bride to be worried about her LAPD fiance and his suddenly strange behavior.  Plenty of action and humor.

LAST WOLF WATCHING is the story of Michaela (Torrance's BFF from Book 1, LAST WOLF STANDING) and Brody, a Blood Runner.

Rogue werewolves are still on the loose.

Brody takes over the assignment of protecting Michaela.  He wants her bad, but feels because of his scars he is to ugly for a special woman like Michaela to want.

An American Classic (in my opinion) which I loved reading when I was young. It brings a lot to the table to think about. If you haven't read it, you probably should, esp. if you're one of our teens or have teens/tweens to discuss it with.
