Thanks Liz for mailing me this book, and it was kind of you to autograph it!  I got it in the mail yesterday and devoured it!

It's Sarah Daniel's wedding day and she's marrying her friend Dan – she loves his family but is worried that she might not have romantic feelings for him. She's even written him a letter explaining why she couldn't marry him but she didn't have the guts to give it to him. Then Ryan Noble shows up while she's getting ready in her dress and demands she talk to him, but when she passes out from too many tranquilizers and not enough breakfast, he sort of kidnaps her – to prevent her from getting married before they could talk it out.

 Janie Murphy owns the Heaven on Seventh Restaurant. She keeps to herself, doesn't have any friends, and hides in the kitchen when a certain Deputy comes around because she doesn't know how to face him since they had a one-night stand a few months back.

Deputy Ben Jackson's had his eye on Janie ever since she came to town 3 yrs ago so when the opportunity presented itself, he spent a night with her. Imagine his surprise when he woke up to find her calling it a ‘big mistake' and practically running out the front door of his house. But that was fine with him because he didn't want to be tied down anyway.

Now, months after that fateful night, Ben proposes to her. Why? Because Ben's trying to adopt a young boy who's stolen his heart but he doesn't stand a chance unless he's married. But it has to be credible to fool the social worker and judge. And since everyone in Cameron thinks Ben and Janie are an item since ‘that night' anyway, Janie's the only woman who can carry it off.

Trying to clear up a mystery surrounding an old murder brings two people together.  Both of them have things they need to find out about their families and their past. The story seems a bit forced at times but the premise for the story is very interesting. I will definitly read more of Linda Style's books.

     Each of the three stories in this trilogy is so different.  The appearance of all the siblings in all three books definitely keeps them very closely related stories, but each one is very much the story of one of the three Chauvin children.  I absolutely LOVE them all; they all have a poignancy all their own and the characters are facing challenges unique to each of them, but at the same time there are similarities as they each struggle with the changes that finding each other has brought about.  Suzanne, well she's amazing.  She never had any self-confidence or strong identity of who she was, but finding her brother and sister began something in her own life that took over.  Her journey and discovery of just who she was and what she had to offer is inspiring and I truly enjoyed watching her relationship with the people in her life.  None of it came easy, but when things worked out it was all the more sweeter.  And the relationship between Suzanne and Tom, well suffice it to say that I still get teary-eyed when I recall all they'd gone through.  Outstanding story and Outstanding series... definitely a trio of books that anyone would love ~ IMHO, of course.

     Gary's story is a very strong, very emotional tale of what can happen when an adoption goes wrong.  He's a good man, but he has closed himself off to protect himself.  But even he finds it extremely difficult, if not impossible, to resist his sisters... and it doesn't help that the first person that he does meet is a social worker.  His feelings for any one of that breed is far from favourable, but Rebecca refuses to fit into his negative image.  In fact, he finds himself soon over his head in emotions... not something with which he is comfortable or even prepared to deal with.  And Rebecca, for her part, just doesn't know what to make of this man whose difficulty in relating to his sisters should be a huge warning; but she cannot ignore her feelings for him.  
     Once again, JKJ has written a stellar story regarding adoption and various ramifications when an adoption goes wrong.  Her characters are so real and come to mean so much that I found it impossible to put the book down.  Beautiful and heartwarming; yet another amazing chapter in her Lost...But Not Forgotten trilogy.
     One thing that I want to say about the covers of all three books in this series is how very well the people fit my images of the characters... it's almost as though someone had an inside glance into what they should all look like... well done!

     After reading one of Janice Kay Johnson's books during last year's challenge I was sure that she was an autobuy author.  Her stories are filled with such beautiful and touching emotions and a very strong sense of family; her romances are both real and heartwarming and all those wonderful things that dreams are made of. Reading this series went to show me that my opinion of her as an autobuy author was in no way mistaken... she's fabulous!
     Carrie St. John's story is one that I can, from the outside, identify with.  And Mark's experiences as a father resonate very strongly as well.  Adoption has been a large part in my family history going back to my great-grandmother almost 75 years ago.  I have a great-aunt, an uncle, a brother and two nieces who were all adopted, and about 16 years ago my husband and I very much wanted to add wonderful little boy to our family... alas, it was not to be and we still mourn Ryan's loss.
     But having these experience with what adoption can mean, I was overwhelmed with the emotions that Carrie, Mark and even Suzanne went through.  A wonderful story dealing with a very emotional topic; and the romance between Mark and Carrie is fantastic!
