Fortune's Honor by Jamie Craig, Amber Quill Press, 2008
Copied Back Blurb
Clay Putnam has always been the responsible one in his family. He runs the family ranch, Good Fortune, by himself and takes care of his ailing mother. He is happy to make sacrifices so his brothers can follow their own dreams, especially his younger brother, Ty, a bull-rider on the professional rodeo circuit. But he leads a very lonely life, and he longs to meet a woman who could love his home, and his family, as much as he does. Paige Murphy fell for Ty's boyish charm and exuberance, and she agrees to spend her summer vacation at the Good Fortune Ranch while Ty follows the rodeo all over the western states. She is happy to be engaged to Ty. Until she meets his older brother. Clay is mature, thoughtful, and very attractive. She thinks he might be interested in her as well, but they resist their mutual desire out of love and respect for Ty. Passion and a surprising tragedy, however, drives Paige into Clay's arms, but honor, not infatuation, dictates who they are...

152. Amanda Young ~ Pyromancer . . . . . Megan Hart ~ Love Match
The two stories here are both ebooks and both by authors that I really enjoy. I turned to these books when I was having reading problems… I needed something that I knew was going to hold my interest and both Amanda Young and Megan Hart can do that without even trying.
Amanda Young was my introduction to gay romance and, regardless of the genre that she writes, she’s a wonderful author who really brings her characters to life and they, very often reluctantly, find it hard to give themselves over to love.
Megan Hart’s stories are just as absorbing, but different. She writes extremely well about the complexities inherent in human relationships ~ her characters are always facing having to learn more about themselves and about the person with whom they have a relationship ~ and never a dull moment anywhere to be found.
As to Excellence, both stories are individually rated, but the steaminess rating ~ Inferno ~ is the same for both ~ they are, after all, romantica (aka erotic romances).

Montana Bride by Barbara Clark... QC #140
Montana Bride by Barbara Clark, Amber Quill Press, March 2006
Travis Knight only came to Megan O'Connor's ranch for a foreman's job. Travis was cynical of wealthy women and this heiress screamed of wealth. But some things didn't add up, like her raising her niece and nephew, her home being comfy not a showcase, running a ranch instead of living the high life of privilege. Her father has influence and money and is threatening to take the children away from her, intending to raise them as he raised Megan and her brother, shipping them off to boarding school. When it looks like she might lose the children, Travis steps in and announces they are engaged. They are attracted to each other. They both don't want the children to end up with her father. They come to an agreement that they marry until the adoption goes through and until the ranch is making money. But when the time comes can they let each other go?
105. Three Gay Romance ebooks ~ C. Stevens, A. Dane & A. Young [229 pgs]
I found Amber Quill Press when I went looking for some of Megan Hart's ebooks; so of course I signed up for the newsletter. Uh yeah... I should have known that this would be very tempting... and I was right! The first two stories reviewed here are both stories that I came across in one of the newsletters, and they both sounded so good... and my ability to stay away from stories that appeal is notoriously non-existent.
The third story reviewed here is by a fairly new-to-me author ~ Amanda Young ~ that I've been gobbling up anything and everything that I can get my hands on. Eye Candy is her latest release and actually a sequel to two of her previous stories, so that was a given. Fun, fun, fun!

74. Megan Hart ~ 6 ebook titles ~ AmberQuill Press, LLC
After reading Megan Hart's Tempted as well as her online read The Road Taken last month, I realized that I needed more. It was then that someone ~ that I, alas, cannot remember ~ recommended a couple of Megan's shorter eBook stories: After Class and All You Can Eat. Of course I immediately went looking and found a treasure trove of stories: I was very hard put to only get six of the stories. The first three stories that I reviewed are stand-alones while the last three are all connected. All the stories were fantastic ~ other than maybe being too short.
As to favourites, that's a hard one... but if I had to choose I'd pick Bachelor Number Four and Playing the Game... just because of the relationship between the H and h in both of them. Both stories had me getting, if not tearful exactly, awfully close due to the strong emotions present... WOW! These two for me were bordering on OUTSTANDING!
RATING:
Excellence: Excellent and up ~ 4.0 to 4.5 stars
Steaminess: Heat Wave!!
