Happy Fourth of July to all my US readers!  (And belated Canada Day greetings to to my friends up north!)

I'm planning a backyard picnic- grilled burgers and fries, watermelon and S'mores- with my family. Then my dh and ds bought a boatload of little fireworks- not then big blasters but the small ground, sparkling sort. Fingers crossed they don't set the yard on fire!

This was a heartfelt tale about a divorcee devoted to raising her 12-year-old daughter while resisting the advances of her daughter's sexy chaperone, Mr. Mendez. A well-executed, well-written tale of a mother's inner conflict. Coming November 2008.
