Chicago Stars quarterack Dean Robillard is driving cross-country to think about his life when he sees Blue Bailey stomping down a Colorado road dressed in a beaver suit minus the head. She ends up going with him to his Tennesse farm where they fall in love and discover their family: his mother, father, half-sister and an old lady who owns the town. A lovely read with plenty of humor and affection as the characters learn to forgive each other for years of hurt and become each other's family. Recommended. Veronica Davis swore she'd never step foot in the family bar again but her sister has been murdered and she wants the bar profitable so that she can sell it and invest the money for her niece. Sexy and annoying Cooper Blackstock is the bartender/manager with whom she must work and share her sister's house. Despite themselves, they find they are drawn to one another. Likable characters, including the many secondary ones. A good read. Read by Anna Fields, available from Books on Tape. NFM
