More than one storyline was in this book.

There are two storylines going in this book and I felt a bit confused at times!  Was it me?

James Graham has his future all mapped out:  he's going to keep building desperately-needed hospitals and clinics in remote areas of countries in Africa.  When a debilitating illness sends him home to the states for treatment and rehab, James still plans to return to carry out his goals, but increasing pain forces him to reconsider.  ~~  Rae Ashcroft is still haunted by the death of the man she was going to marry, and is killing herself keeping the stock trading business they started together not only functioning, but excelling despite a bear market.  ~~  The last thing these two wounded people are looking for is love, but when it finds them, they have some major choices to make. 

Favourite Scene: (aw, the hero knows he's no James Bond, cute)

She stared, goggle-eyed, as he picked himself up, righted the chair and walked in through the open glass doors. "I see I have some way to go before I become James Bond," he remarked dryly, dusting himself off and tucking his shirt back into the waistband of his trousers.

Another Fav Scene: (aw, he risks bodily harm to get her in his arms, then tells her he loves her)

"By the way," he grated out when he stopped to kick the main guest-room door open, "it came to me as I was swinging through space a minute ago, with the possibility of certain death if I slipped, that I hadn't made one thing clear to you."

She fluttered bewildered lashes open and looked up. His eyes locked with hers, startling her with their smoldering intensity.

"I love you," he said, and strode purposefully into the room.

My introduction to Helen Brooks was His Christmas Bride which was part of the one Click December Buy. I really enjoyed it and have been buying as many Brooks books as I could lay my hands on. Imagine my excitement when The Billionaire's Marriage Mission was being offered. It was originally published as a Mills & Boon book in 2006.
