I loved the opening of this book but it went against the grain. I've been working on improving my writing skills and one of the things I've learned is that you should always start with the heroines point of view (POV) and that you she should be in a pro-active vice re-active position.

Well, with over 30 books to her credit, Lenora started this book with the hero's POV and he finds the heroine, Stella sitting there, bawling her eyes out. She's definitely re-acting to her circumstances. This proves that with writing, you have to follow your own instinct and not always rely on a pre-determined formula.

#50-Adam Callahan just wanted a quiet refuge from all the pain and suffering he has seen as a New Orleans policeman. Now retired he still encounters someone suffering when he hears weeping from an open window of the Sanctuary House Inn Bed and Breakfast. Unfortunately, this anthology was not my favorite and I can't say I really liked even one of the stories.

I liked this book. Alex Keating just wants to have some down time - alone. A busy Boston cardiologist, it's the 1st vacation he's had in 15 yrs. Mind you, if the article hadn't appeared in that international magazine naming Alex as one of the world's most eligible bachelors, he probably wouldn't have taken the vacation, but it was getting too strenuous trying to work with all the woman clamoring for his attention. Two weeks in the Ozarks of Arkansas should be enough time for everyone to forget that article.

The only problem, Alex has an accident and wakes up in Dr Carly Fletcher's clinic. Suffering from a head injury, Alex can't seem to get his tongue working to tell the pretty doctor that he's in the same profession. By the time he's able to talk, Carly's decided to take him home for the night. And then Alex doesn't want to tell her.

I had first read Courting Miss Hattie last Thanksgiving, and have just
finished it for the second time. This is definitely in the list of my
favorite romances.

Creepy, creepier and more creepy! Suspense by Amanda Stevens makes for a non-stop read.
