Fourth in the second Athena Force series. Edited from the back: Lynn White has a new life, close to Athena Academy and her past. When authorities blackmail her to use her unique skills one last time, Lynn returns to the stealth game. Her assignment: stop terrorists from smuggling a bomb through Miami's Stingray Wharf. Her contact is FBI Agent Nick Barnes, the man Lynn loved and left. My take: a good enough read to move the plot along but could have stood on its own had various other characters from the series not been mentioned or had cameos. NFM

As the only expelled student from Athena Academy, Shannon Connor has always tried to prove her worth especially as a news reporter for a TV station.   For years now she has gotten calls with great tips for news that put Athena grads in a seemingly negative light.  Now she has her life in danger and her source seems to mysteriously help her but she must go to China.

Third book in the second Athena Force continuity. Tory Patton's mentee & fellow Athena grad has been kidnapped in Berzhaan along with her cameraman & translator. Tory's lover, Ben Forsythe, is in country to rescue some Marines; once that is done his team moves on to rescue the reporter et al. He & Tory run into each other & help each other as much as possible given the constraints of their (mostly Ben's) jobs. Lots of internal & external conflict as both work hard toward their career and relationship goals & figuring out how to accomplish them all. Oh, and Tory's pregnant. Some threads left dangling, presumably to be picked up in the next book(s). NFM

This is another AF book, Lucy is contracted to steal the contents from a safety deposit box.  AA is certain that those contents will tell them who Arachne is.  Nolan is hired by Arachne to be the security head of her company.  When the two met up, the situation begins to implode.  Will they survive and will Arachne finally be found?

What to say about this book.  For starters, this character has a book in the second set of Athena Force and I really liked that story, so I think that helped me like this one even more.  I finally got to read the beginning of how things shaped her life in the second book.

The search for more evidence in Rainey's murder continues.  Darcy has begun her own investigative service over the last three years.  Her primary focus though is saving women and children who are being abused, simply because she knows what it is like to be in their situation and how much a little help can go a long way.
