315. Lynsay Sands ~ The Rogue Hunter ~ Avon [Oct 2008]
Like all the rest of Lynsay Sands' Argeneau series books, this one is a treat filled with lots of laughs, steamy attraction, hilarious situations and a good dose of tension. The Argeneau family members don't play a big part in this story at all, but that doesn't lessen the attraction. I'm just loving the entire world that Ms. Sands has created: her scientific reasoning for the Immortals existence ~ they don't like the name "vampire" ~ I find ingenious and quite convincing... in a sci-fi way. But the humour that laces through her stories is most definitely the key attraction.
If you haven't read any of her Argeneau stories, find one...! Yes they're all related, but they can standalone; there's enough background information in each book that the reader won't feel lost... or at least that's my feeling. And as I've mentioned before, I very, very rarely manage to start ANY series at the beginning... so I know whereof I speak.
RATING:
Excellence: Excellent ~ 4 stars of 5
Steaminess: Sensual
Acheron, by Sherrilyn Kenyon
Finally, Acheron's book is here! And it was well worth the wait. Beginning with Acheron's birth (in his mother's POV), the book is broken into two main parts--his history and his present. His history is told first in his sister's journals, then in his own POV, while his present is told in both his and his heroine, Tory's, POV. As painful as it was to read about Ash's past, and to live it w
The Nymph King
This was a fun, sexy read. Love how Shaye held out agianst the nymph. Love how he worked hard to woo her. And in the end, love her. A great book!

153. Anthology ~ Shifter ~ Berkley Sensation Paranormal Romance (March 08)
I got this book as soon as I saw it in the store ~ after all it had stories by both Angela Knight and Lora Leigh, both of whom are favourites and autobuys for me. Both these stories I really liked, as I had thought that I would.
What I hadn’t really expected was that I would like the other two stories as well. I did, slightly, prefer Virginia Kantra’s story to Alyssa Day’s; but either way, this book rates a very solid 4.0, aka Excellent!! The steaminess rating? They’re all definitely more along the lines of romantica ~ Heat Wave anyone?
