Avon Books

Before the Dawn

I didn't like this book as well as the rest of Ms. Jenkins books. This book is more of a mystery romantic suspense, which is not my type of book. It starts off somewhat dark and mysterious. If you are into who did it's, this book is for you. It still has a historical twist to it so with that said it is a dramatic change from her other books that I have read.

Until then he will enjoy his rendezvous with the many willing ladies around him – enjoying their company but never engaging his heart. Each year at his families Christmas Ball, Jonathan selects a tantalizing woman to share the pleasures of the evening – a holiday tradition. This year he finds his choice has been placed by captivating stranger who proposes marriage.

I enjoyed this book although at times it was a bitter sweet read. The bar owners story and several of the other minor characters reappear in Not Another New Year's Eve.

The Accidental Vampire by Lynsay Sands (Avon Books, Harper Collins pub., 2008)

challenge_name:

Seventh novel/story in the Argeneau series. This series can be read out of order without losing anything more than who’s who (which is also somewhat explained by the very helpful genealogy chart in the front of the newer books).

This one is hilarious. I don’t want to give the plot away, but I will say that no one does vampire humor like Lynsay Sands.

My rating: 4/5
