Elmer Kelton's westerns just keep getting better and better. Andy's days as a Texas Ranger are over, or are they? His love for Bethel has him tied to a farm in East Texas with a future brother-in-law and ex-partner who is a hard pill to swallow. When the town sheriff is killed in a jailbreak, Andy ends up getting reappointed to the Rangers to chase down the two who broke bank robber Cordell out and escaped. Andy thinks Cordell shot the sheriff, but it was someone else. As he tracks him, he keeps finding people who speak up for the outlaw, which makes him wonder....

One False Move
An exciting tale of redemption works its way through the exciting plot set in the middle of a man hunt for escaped bank robbers, killers and kidnappers. This is a great work of fiction that reads almost like a true crime book.
