Blake Bravo

Christine Rimmer ~ From Here to Paternity ~ SSE #1825 [211]

challenge_name:

This story was exellent!!  Brand Bravo is one of Blake Bravo's many, many children: his mother Chastity had four boys with Blake; Brand's is the third story.  Buck's and Brett's stories were recounted in Bravo Unwrapped and Married in Haste.  It is great following the story of the various families that Blake Bravo left in his wake.
I particularly loved that this story is about two people who had the opportunity to recover the love that they had had before.  Reconciliation stories  rate right up there in my 'favourite themes' along with girl-next-door and best-friend turned-lover stories.  Once again Christine Rimmer has come up with a remarkable journey ~ and I love the inclusion of one of the many half-siblings of the main character.  Carrying the connections between the various families is another wonderful component of the outstanding series ~ in all its incarnations ~ about the Bravo Family.

61. Christine Rimmer ~ Valentine's Secret Child ~ SSE #1879 Feb 08 [Bravo Family Ties]

challenge_name:

Until I find some of the older Bravo Family Ties books, or the next new one in the line-up is released, I'll be putting the Bravos aside for awile.  But oh, I do love Rimmer's Bravos!  I'm especially looking forward to Tanner's, Kelly and Hayley's big brother ~ story (could it be Crystal in his future?) and Bowie... will he and Glory, at long last, make a family for their son.  I'm very curious to see how Bowie does his growing up!
I've loved the time spent reading these stories and will be impatiently awaiting meeting up with them again.

RATING:
Excellence: Great to Very Good ~ 3 stars

60. Christine Rimmer ~ A Bravo Christmas Reunion ~ SSE #1683 [Bravo Family Ties]

challenge_name:

This was one of my two newly bought Bravo Family Ties books from the Silhouette Special Edition subscription that I had.  I'm not really sure just how I came to be collecting books from this saga, especially before I had a clue what the Bravos were all about, but I truly believe that this was serendipitous!   The deeper that I go into this saga, the more I appreciate just what Christine Rimmer has created.  A whole cast of characters that come alive in the pages of the books.  So far there are 21 published and after the next book in the series, that I have, there are only two more of Blake Bravo's sons waiting for their loves.  I can hardly wait!
Will there be more to come after Tanner and Bowie both have their own stories?  Well, as things stand now, I dearly hope so!

59. Christine Rimmer ~ Married in Haste ~ SSE #1777 (Sep06)

challenge_name:

From one of the previous stories ~ Bravo Unwrapped ~ we saw that both Buck, the oldest, and Bowie, the youngest, are the wild Bravo boys in New Bethlehem Flat.  Both middle boys, Brett, a doctor and Brand, a lawyer, have striven to be the antithesis of their father as well as remain the calm, level-headed Bravo boys.  Well, that's their intent!  As to Brand, I can't really say if he's successful, but Brett was sure that he was as far from the wild personality of his father and oldest and youngest brothers as can be... until he found himself married to the girl next door ~ and falling head over heels in love with her.  Definitely NOT in his plans!

RATING:
Excellence: Excellent ~ 4 stars
Steaminess: Sensual

58. Christine Rimmer ~ The Bravo Family Way ~ SSE #1741 (Mar06)

challenge_name:

When I read this book, I really had no idea where Fletcher came into the large Bravo family, but finding a link to a definitive Bravo Family tree ~ especially including Blake Bravo's rather numerous, and often confusing, children ~ on Christine's site was heady stuff.  I love being able to place everyone where they belong... and it just makes, for me, the stories flow that much better.  'Sides it was a lot of fun figuring out the whole fam-damily.   I'm a bit of a dweeb, but I'm an organizational dweeb that likes my I's dotted, my T's crossed and every piece in it's proper place!
I've also noticed, as the saga progresses, that the steaminess levels definitely increas after the first few books... good one!

Excellence: Great to Very Good ~ 3.0 stars
