Bloodrunner
Last Wolf Watching
Good pace, intriguing characters. Enjoyed it enough I'll be scouring the used book stores for the earlier books in the series.
121. Rhyannon Byrd ~ Last Wolf Hunting ~ SN #38 ~ Bloodrunners Book 2
I had some difficulty at the beginning of the story getting into it, but it was because of how I was feeling than the story itself. While I was fighting a bad case of reader's slump, I was also somewhat frustrated with Jillian's refusal to see that Jeremy was more than his reputation. Now, this is by no means anyone's fault... Jillian was a very strong character and I felt like telling her to stop listening to what everyone else was saying and listen to her heart. So glad that she listened....

As in the first book, there is a lot of action and tension... these stories could be labelled as paranormal thrillers; there's so much going on behind the scenes. But the romance is very much the main focus ~ and it's very well portrayed; a strong hero and a heroine to match, and even though they are very much mates, they are people in their own right and need to learn to give themselves to their love. I also like the closer look that we get into the life, the definition of the pack ~ as well as the people that are part of it. Great and varied characters; good and evil; coming to terms with a past and a romance that won't let either Jeremy or Jillian give less than themselves.
RATING:
Excellence: Great to Excellent ~ 3.5 stars
Steaminess: Sensual
