Blossom Street

Susannah's Garden by Debbie Macomber (unabridged audio) (MIRA, 2006)

Penn

Not part of the Blossom Street series, but at the end of the book Susannah is planning to buy the flower shop next door to A Good Yarn. Susannah goes to her home town to convince her mother to move into an assisted living facility, as dementia is becoming noticeable. Since her father's death a few months ago, Susannah has not been herself and is not appreciating her good marriage of 20+ years. Her 19 y.o. dd is a brat and really got on my nerves, but watching Susannah come to terms with and appreciate her life now was a nice journey. Overall a good listen. Read by Laural Merlington. NFM

Familiar characters return and a new knitting class is starting at Lydia's A Good Yarn knitting supplies store. A flower shop has opened up next door. There are all sorts of new things going on and the women are there to listen and support each other. If you want to find out what's new, you've got to read, Back on Blossom Street.

Back on Blossom Street by Debbie Macomber (audio)

This is the third installment in the Blossom Street series, and a first for me.  Although, I have listened to audio books before, I have focused on books that I had already read, For this book, I decided to give it a listen as my TBR was exploding.  I really enjoyed the experience, it was a bit annoying over the weekend, as I wanted to finish it, but didn't have anywhere to go that didn't involve my kids in the car.
