Bombshell

Fourth in the second Athena Force series. Edited from the back: Lynn White has a new life, close to Athena Academy and her past. When authorities blackmail her to use her unique skills one last time, Lynn returns to the stealth game. Her assignment: stop terrorists from smuggling a bomb through Miami's Stingray Wharf. Her contact is FBI Agent Nick Barnes, the man Lynn loved and left. My take: a good enough read to move the plot along but could have stood on its own had various other characters from the series not been mentioned or had cameos. NFM

This was a great read. It pulls you in from the first paragraph and keeps you enthralled until the last. Brooke Tyler is the entire police department in her small town. Brooke earned her position after showing an amazing aptitude for finding lost people. However, most citizens didn't know that Brooke was even better at helping people get lost.

Second in the 2nd Athena Force series, this one focuses more on Elle Petrenko, identical twin to Athena Academy grad Samantha St. John, than on Sam. Both are spies: Elle for Russia, Sam for the CIA (they were separated as toddlers). While helping Sam with an Athena investigation, Elle gets caught up in a mystery that might lead her to . . what? Can't tell you or I'll spoil it. Some more clues about the mystery the AF gals are solving. An okay read -- better than I expected, actually, b/c I've never clicked with Fletcher's voice. NFM
