Bravo Family Ties saga

60. Christine Rimmer ~ A Bravo Christmas Reunion ~ SSE #1683 [Bravo Family Ties]

challenge_name:

This was one of my two newly bought Bravo Family Ties books from the Silhouette Special Edition subscription that I had.  I'm not really sure just how I came to be collecting books from this saga, especially before I had a clue what the Bravos were all about, but I truly believe that this was serendipitous!   The deeper that I go into this saga, the more I appreciate just what Christine Rimmer has created.  A whole cast of characters that come alive in the pages of the books.  So far there are 21 published and after the next book in the series, that I have, there are only two more of Blake Bravo's sons waiting for their loves.  I can hardly wait!
Will there be more to come after Tanner and Bowie both have their own stories?  Well, as things stand now, I dearly hope so!

RATING:
Excellence: Great to Excellent ~ 3.5 stars
Steaminess: Sensual

59. Christine Rimmer ~ Married in Haste ~ SSE #1777 (Sep06)

challenge_name:

From one of the previous stories ~ Bravo Unwrapped ~ we saw that both Buck, the oldest, and Bowie, the youngest, are the wild Bravo boys in New Bethlehem Flat.  Both middle boys, Brett, a doctor and Brand, a lawyer, have striven to be the antithesis of their father as well as remain the calm, level-headed Bravo boys.  Well, that's their intent!  As to Brand, I can't really say if he's successful, but Brett was sure that he was as far from the wild personality of his father and oldest and youngest brothers as can be... until he found himself married to the girl next door ~ and falling head over heels in love with her.  Definitely NOT in his plans!

RATING:
Excellence: Excellent ~ 4 stars
Steaminess: Sensual

58. Christine Rimmer ~ The Bravo Family Way ~ SSE #1741 (Mar06)

challenge_name:

When I read this book, I really had no idea where Fletcher came into the large Bravo family, but finding a link to a definitive Bravo Family tree ~ especially including Blake Bravo's rather numerous, and often confusing, children ~ on Christine's site was heady stuff.  I love being able to place everyone where they belong... and it just makes, for me, the stories flow that much better.  'Sides it was a lot of fun figuring out the whole fam-damily.   I'm a bit of a dweeb, but I'm an organizational dweeb that likes my I's dotted, my T's crossed and every piece in it's proper place!
I've also noticed, as the saga progresses, that the steaminess levels definitely increas after the first few books... good one!

RATING:
Excellence: Great to Very Good ~ 3.0 stars
Steaminess: Sensual

57. Christine Rimmer ~ Bravo Unwrapped [Bravo Family Ties]

challenge_name:

I am deplorably behind on my reviews, so I will do my best to both catch up and to write complete reviews.
On the back of the book, a Signature Select new release, it says:
A New Chapter in the SAGA of the Characters You Love
and, yep, it is.  Man, that bad-boy, black-sheep Blake Bravo spread his "love" around!  With six different women that he "married" he had 14 children; all but two were boys.  Another excellent chapter in the Bravo saga:  Man, Blake may have been scum of the earth, but the women that he picked musta had some fantastic genes, 'cause the kids all turned out as decent people!  This is the seventh of one of Blake Bravo's offspring to have their story.

Excellence:  Great to Very Good ~ 3.5 stars

Time to move on....

Well, at long last I'm done... and now I'm a little sad.  The only thing that's helping is that there will be more books released in the Bravo Family Ties saga... and I dearly hope that Tanner Bravo's story is next!  I'm thinking that maybe Crystal will be his destiny?  Can hardly wait to see!

56. Christine Rimmer ~ Marrying Molly ~ SSE #1639 (Oct04)

challenge_name:

I read the book that comes directly after this one first ~ of course! ~ and I loved it.  In Tucker's and Lori's story, I enjoyed Tate and Molly so I was more than a little disappointed when I actually found this story very difficult to make my way through.  Why exactly did I find myself almost slogging page after page?  Check out below in MY NOTES if you're interested.

RATING:
Okay (kinda) ~ 1.5 stars {would not keep this book if it were not part of the Bravo series}
Sensual
