Brenda Novak's Dead Right is right on. (I couldn't resist.) I'm in awe of Brenda's plotting and conflict creation. In this book about a crime and the aftermath, anyone who read the first books in the series knows going in what the crime was, who committed it, why they covered it up, and practically every other detail about it. And the book is still full of suspense.
