THE SUBCONSCIOUS COURTSHIP by Berta Ruck [Other 36]

challenge_name:

Berta Ruck wrote romances in the 1920s, and this delightful author was probably a favourite of Betty Neels's.  In this authentic period romance, Mrs. Clover Elphinstone (a widow who was never a true wife) coldly plans a marriage with war hero Harry Carmichael.  At first reluctant to accept her proposal of a marriage in name only, she dangles an offer of help with his aeronautical invention.  Harry is still reluctant, but as Clover wants someone to help her get rid of the annoying young men always buzzing around her looking for money for this or that, he agrees, only to discover that a sham marriage to Clover is not what he wants at all...

Can You Teach Me The "Business" of Books?

Ok, so I am NO where close to being as close to publised as Jody, but I do have a question for some of you who are seriously pursuing writing as a career. When can you consider "writing" as a business? If I decide today that I am going to become a published author and I start working towards that goal, then can I start claiming business expense on my taxes?

Unexpected Bride by Lisa Childs

challenge_name:

This book was wonderfully written.  I loved the way the heroine's past foreshadowed the bride's present!!!!  The history woven into the present story line is amazing!  I was drawn in from the first page, and I was still hanging on until the last word.  I absolutely can't wait for the next book!  I have to know what happens with the rest of this group of friends!

Moonlight and Roses

challenge_name:

"Moonlight and Roses" by Jackie Braun is a truely enjoyable read.  The pacing is quick and the attraction sizzles, making it a fast read.  Though it boasts a small cast of characters, each one is well defined and believable.  Hats off to you Jackie, great job!
