I really loved this book! It's about Lady Francesca Haughston, a matchmaker, who is challenged by the Duke of Rochford to find a match for a 28 year old spinster, Miss Constance Woodley.

I really enjoyed this book.

It's a story about an independent American widow, Lady Eleanor Scarbrough, who has taken her husband, Edmund (who is English nobility), to Italy to try to help his consumption. She moves back to London after her husband is drowned while sailing after they had lived in Italy for a year.
