Challenge

If you're not participating in the book challenge (aka reading challenge) please tell my why

Do you know about the book challenge? Our goal is to read 100,000 books this year as a community. However many we read, Harlequin Enterprises is going to donate the same number to The National Center For Family Literacy.

Man of the Year Lisa Ruff HAR

challenge_name:

If this is Lisa's debut book, then I can tell she will be a favorite around HAR!!!  I loved the quick wit and humor in this book.  If I were judging this in our Challenge forum here, it wouldn't rate too high on mushiness, but this book packs a GREAT romance story!!!  What it lacks in sexual tension, it overloads in realistic situations!!!

March's NTM challenge and other bits...

I cannot believe that we are here, April 1st... and a quarter of the year is gone ~ thanks for the reminder Lorie Undecided ~ and I'm sitting here wondering "What the heck??"
Once again I'm behind on my reviews ~ I have three for March yet to do.  I actually managed to read 40 books this month...  YIPPEE!  And I did quite well with the challenge as well.
Of the 40 book reviews (actually 49 individual titles) that I did this month, 30 were from various harlequin imprints and 10 were 'other.'  Among those 40 reviews there were three entries that were comprised of 11 different ebooks. but only six different authors ~ Megan Hart wrote 6 of the ebooks. Of the 10 ebooks that I read, four of them were written by authors who were new to me.  So I guess I'll go with the NTM stats for March:

  • authors ~ 32 (of 39 separate authors)
  • imprints ~   4 (of 19 read this month)

NATE by Beth Williamson

challenge_name:

Discovered Williamson's books last year and have slowly been working my way through her backlist. I love westerns and I enjoy her writing. Loved the interaction between Elisa and Nate and there were several laugh out loud moments in this. I'm looking forward to the other Devils getting their stories soon.
