Ten Big Ones by Janet Evanovich

Another good read in the Stephanie plum books. She's still confused about the men in her life and still has wild crazy relatives and friends. Fun read. Cool ending.

The Janissary Tree

Terrific literary historical crime novel set in 19th Century Istanbul.  The hero is a sex god eunuch.  Different, but rivetting.

One Wrong Step

This was a great book, and the first I've read of this author. Playboy journalist John McAllister can't get his mind off of Celie, who is smack dab in the middle of her ex-husband's murder investigation. I liked that this story held a criminal investigation plot without the hero being police. It was a nice change, and easy to fall in love with the characters. Great writing!

The Third Victim by Lisa Gardner

riveting read. A horrific crime has been committed at the k-8 school and the Officer Rainie Conner has to investigate. It's a minefield of twist and turns, and it reminds her of a past she just wants to forget. FBI profiler Pierce Quincy assists her in the investigations and a bond is forms between the two.

Body Count

If you want a good no-nonsense crime/forensics book, look no farther! FBI agent Sophie Anderson combines smarts and visions with her profiling. I burned through this book in 2 days.

Personal favourite aspects:

One False Move

An exciting tale of redemption works its way through the exciting plot set in the middle of a man hunt for escaped bank robbers, killers and kidnappers.  This is a great work of fiction that reads almost like a true crime book.
