A Dead End Job Mystery

This is the first Dead End Job mystery.  I love these books, they amuse me and they are acerbic and enjoyable.  Curiously, however, I don't like the character.  She's an idiot.  She runs away from her ex and hides for the dumbest reason ever.  And she sleeps with anything with the right bits and pieces always seeming to view them as "the one" without any particular motivation.  But

I rather liked this book.  I read something of hers from her mystery shopper series so when I saw this book at my mother's house and kiffed it.  I liked Helen tolerably well although I don't know about some of her rougher edges.  The mystery, however was very good.  I enjoyed it and it took me a fair amount of time to figure it out.  I will read another if I come across one.
