Since this book is over 20 years old it was interesting to see how it held up over time.  I think I might have gotten it at a library sale!

This is book two in the Throne of Judar series. Shehab Aal Masood is now next in line for the throne and he must do his duty and marry Farah Beaumont the illegitimate daughter of the King of Zohayd. To do this he must deceive her. When he realizes he is wrong about her, he feels it is too late to tell her the truth. So, when the truth does come out, things are very emotional.

Morgan thought her temporary job had been extended to a few weeks in a far off country but Sheikh had a much more permanent arrangement in mind for her rather she liked it or not.

Favourite Scene: (it's adorable hope he goes from saying "I am kind" to "I can be" and then growling "I will be!")

'I thought you were kind!' she burst out, blue eyes bright with a pained disillusionment. 'I thought you genuinely cared about what had happened to me! When all the time while you've been shadowing me around today you've been plotting this!' Her voice rose on a clutch of hurt. He winced at the sound of it. 'I am kind!' he growled, looking faintly uncomfortable with his own role here.
Claire's thick huff of scorn made his eyes flash warningly, then, with a grimace, he seemed to be allowing her the right to be scornful.
'I can be kind,' he amended huskily, scraped an impatient set of long fingers through his hair, then even amended the amendment. 'I will be kind,' he declared in a voice that made it a promise.
 

Another Fav Scene:

'You asked for this,' he growled, coming to lean over her. 'You wanted to make me angry-well, I'm angry,' he confirmed as his naked body slid between the sheets. 'You wanted to make me jealous,' he added as he reached out for her. 'Well, I am damned well jealous!'
'Of my dreams?' she taunted, opening her eyes.
'Of everything to do with you!' he rasped, and imprisoned her very willing mouth.

Favourite Scene:

"And hot," he finished, elation rising higher.
"Yeah, that, too…" She stopped, groaned. "I don't know why I'm telling you this…apart from the fact that I have this mind-to-mouth incontinence disease…when it's not business stuff…" She paused, seemed to struggle for breath, then burst out again. "This is ridiculous. This has to be the full moon…or the champagne. I'm not this socially handicapped."

Another Fav Scene:

"And what was that image that my name and reputation summoned to your
imagination?"
"A repulsive blob in traditional Bedouin garb, with a high nasal voice and a painful accent, reeking of musk and…"
Somebody gag and sedate her already. 

Dex found a baby in front of his brother Derek’s house (Dex
was living on site) with a note to “D-“
that he would need to care for her for a while. This was a surprise to both
brothers and paternity tests were rapidly arranged. Dex found himself looking
after baby Isabella and refused to give her up when the baby’s aunt Lucy

Very far fetched plot… she pretends to be both herself and her twin with the hero, having two different relationships with him.  It's very far fetched and the motivation for the game she plays is very hard to understand.  But if you suspend belief, it's an enjoyable story with good passion.  The sex between the characters is good, though you don't feel a personal connection to it. 

Rating: 3/5 stars, too far-fetched plot, and sex that didn't seem personal/warm enough. 

Deston seduces Emmylou thinking she's someone else and she gets pregnant. He has family business problems which influence his decisions. How will he react when he finds out who Emmylou really is? Will they work things out? The high deception/cringe factor had me skimming rather than savouring, but it is a personal thing so you do need to read it for yourself
