Taken by the Viking
Come the Night
Murder. Obsession. Intrigue. And werewolves. This was a fantastic and believable tale of gut-wrenching proportions.
The Spanish House by Nancy John (SR 34)
Lynn Forster's father died 2 months ago, leaving her in control of his art restoration business (she used to assist him with the less complicated work) and their apartment (although she won't be able to afford it soon). So she's excited to get her first solo job, working for Brett Sackville at La Casa Espagnole.
Ishbel's Party by Stacy Absalom (HP 943)
Bethan Steele is a relief society nurse who was recently caught in an explosion in Beirut. Her friend was killed and Bethan was sent back to England for recovery, and although her wounds are now mended she's sort of got PTSD so her boss insists that she can't be sent back into the field.
Staying at Daisy's, by Jill Mansell
I hadn't read anything by British author Jill Mansell, but a week or so ago I heard her talk at my local library (she's on a book tour). It sounded like she wrote the kind of book I like to read - funny, romantic, not too much sex! - so I borrowed this book from the library while I was there (I also bought one of her books at the signing after the talk).
Christmas Affairs - Anthology
This book features three stories - one set in the US, one in Australia and one in England - during the holidays.

Mendez's Mistress
This was a heartfelt tale about a divorcee devoted to raising her 12-year-old daughter while resisting the advances of her daughter's sexy chaperone, Mr. Mendez. A well-executed, well-written tale of a mother's inner conflict. Coming November 2008.

Silent in the Sanctuary
This sequel to Silent in the Grave is fantastic and even better than the first. Raybourn maintains high drama, intrigue and sexual attraction at tightwire tension throughout. Tears and laughter are to be had at the expense of the heroine, the irreverent and indomitable Julia Grey, which only endears her to us more. I love this series, and you will, too.
