This is the sixth book in the TEXAS Outlaw series and presents a new pair of girls to the family.

Sundance (Sunny) Outlaw Payton and her twin sister~Cassidy~ own the Chili Witches Cafe in Austin, Texas. They are descendants of Butch Cassidy Outlaw who was once a Senator. Sunny and Cassidy knew they were member of the Outlaw family but since none of them ever got in touch with the cousins Sunny and Cassidy thought the other members of the family didn't want anything to do with them because they were illegitimate. Suddenly they found out that the other members of the family didn't even know they existed and were delighted to welcome them into the family.
Sunny was an ex-police officer. She had quit the job after her husband was killed during a fight with some fugitives. Sunny found that she could not handle the job afterwards so she and Cassidy were content running the Chilli Witches Cafe.
Ben McKee was a single dad and had an ex-wife who had been causing him all kinds of trouble. She was a drug and alcohol abuser and she was trying to get custody of their son~Jay. She had lost the right to see Jay because of her addictions but now she was taking him back to court saying she had cleaned herself up and was living without using drugs or alcohol. Because of his ex-wife and her problems he was worried about getting involved with another woman especially one who played in a band in bars and appeared to be a drinker.
Sunny was afraid to get involved with Ben because he was a Texas Ranger and she could not stand the thought of him getting killed like her husband had. Could the two ever get over their pasts and get together???? And while we're at it let's throw in the Senator who is actually a ghost but Sunny can see and talk to him.

This is Laura Bradford's first romance. Her previous book are mysteries. While I haven't read any of her mysteries she did put a tiny bit of a mystery in this book. I think she did an excellent job with her first romance.

Phoebe Jennings lives in Cedarville at 2565 Quinton Lane and is trying to make a living as a portrait painter but she also has a baby she has to take care of since the baby's father who was rich had refused to have anything to do with either of them. He was very rich and offered to support her and the baby for life if she got out of his life and never contacted him again. Phoebe refused his offer and decided she could make it on her own and she was doing just that by painting portraits of the rich. Phoebe had received a letter written forty years ago and addressed to Tate Williams. Most of the people on Quinton Lane are elderly and all of them know Tate but none of them appear to like him but won't say why. When she asks about the whereabouts of Tate she gets an earful of how full of himself he is. Phoebe decides to deliver the letter anyway but discovers that the Tate she contacted was not the one the letter was addressed to. The letter should have gone to his father some forty years ago. His father is living in a retirement home so Phoebe decides to deliver the letter to him.
Tate Williams grew up on Quinton Lane but never goes there any longer because of the way the people there treated him after he grew up and started working for the city.....something happened that was not his fault but the people living on Quinton Lane blamed him for it. He is now living in the rich area of Cedarville and has no contact with his father. He is a very well know architect but he is also a very bitter man and has a quick temper. And he does not forgive people very easily.

This is the fourth and last book of the miniseries and finally we find out who is trying to destroy the Aggie Four and why.

In this book we find that although his parents were killed and the palace had been badly damaged Viktor Romanov had escaped the assassination attempt and gone into hiding. He had also sent Kat Edwards~who was pregnant with his child~into hiding until he had time to figure out who was responsible for the murders. He knew that once that person found out she was pregnant she would be killed as well as the expected child. He found out that someone had discovered where she was and was after her.
Kat Edwards had been working as a groom on Flint's ranch. Kat did not know that Viktor was still alive but she did know that if the people who had killed the Romanov family knew where she was and that she was pregnant they would be after her also. Then suddenly there were men after her and Viktor shows up to try to protect her. Then he baby arrives. Unfortunately she is then kidnapped and held for ransom, but the kidnapper is really planning on killing them both once he gets the money.

This is the third book of the miniseries.

Jackson Champion is the owner of Champion Shipping. Suddenly he found his shipping business and credibility under attack. He had gone to the docks to get a container full of Rasnovian saddles. Jackson had been on the ship that was transporting the saddles as well as other things. When he got to the container that should have contained the saddles it was empty. He noticed that the man who had offloaded the saddles was running away from the container on a forklift so Jackson headed after him on another forklift. With Jackson was an employee of his which was fortunate. Just as Jackson had almost caught up with the fleeing man he suddenly rammed into a container and it exploded. Jacksonwas blamed for the explosion and the dead man who had been shot. And suddenly Jackson is suspected of being a terrorist.
Ysabel Sanchez who was Jackson's executive secretary and prime support is on the verge of resigning in order to keep Jackson from finding out she is pregnant with his baby. But her resigning was put on hold as they try to find out who is trying to destroy Jackson.

Akeem Abdul owned the equine auction house that Flint Mckade had bought his horses from and now he is being affected by the disaster that struck Flint. There was talk of terrorist involvement that had the government looking into his affairs and could destroy him. He was also in love with Taylor McKade~who was Flint's sister~and had been for a long time. Now while everything else was going on someone had kidnapped Taylor's little boy and it was up to Akeem to find out who was responsible and get the boy back.
Akeem and Taylor were determined to find Christopher and catch the men who had kidnapped him, but while trying to find the boy and meet the kidnappers demands they ran into all sorts of trouble.

This is the first book in the "Diamonds & Daddies" miniseries by four different authors. My advice is to read the books in order as there are some connecting factors that make more sense that way. The stories deal with four men who went to college together and formed what is called "The Aggie Four". These four men were all billionaires and worked together to help each other out and support each other in times of trouble. And boy were they having troubles because someone was out to destroy them.
Flint McCabe owns the Diamondback Ranch, Akeem Abdul (known as the Texas Sheik) owns Texas Double A Auctions,
Jackson Champion owns a shipping company, and Prince Vicktor Romanov is heir to the throne of Rasnovia. At the beginning of the first book everyone believes Vicktor is dead. He and his parents were caught in a coup and the palace was destroyed and everyone was killed. Now someone is trying to destroy the other three.

Flint's story is the first one. He has just had some Arabian horses shipped to his ranch when someone opens fire on the men who were bringing the horses to the Diamondback. Then he finds out that someone is smuggling radioactive material in the horseblankets and rumor has it that Flint is the one doing the smuggling. The FBI and Homeland Security get involved and the rumors nearly destroy his business. He has a whole list of possible suspects and one of them is the new veterinarian Lora Leigh Whittaker who is actually looking for revenge because she believes he cheated her father out of their home and her brother who hired on as a ranch hand has gone missing.

This is the second book in the series. The first book was "Colorado Abduction" which came out in October and the third book is "Secluded with the Cowboy" which is a December release. These books are probably best read in the order in which they are written because a mystery runs through them that is a connecting feature.
In Colorado Abduction Carolyn Carlisle is having trouble with someone threatening her ranch and kidnapping Nicole, her brother's wife. Bodyguard Jesse Longbridge had been shot while trying to stop the kidnapping. Ransom was paid but....

In this book Fiona Grant lives on land adjacent to the Carlisle ranch and someone is sneaking around and doing who knows what but it is dangerous. Jesse Longbridge who is still recovering leaves the hospital and heads for her home to protect her from whoever it is. Everyone thinks that one of the kidnappers hid the ransom money somewhere on Fiona's land was killed and his partner is looking for it and will do whatever it takes to find it. Not only is Fiona in danger but so is her daughter who lives with her.
Jesse who is the owner of Longbridge Security feels he failed in his efforts to protect Nicole but is determined not to fail Fiona. He is also determined to find Nicole and capture the kidnappers. One of them turns up dead on Fiona's land. This book is about Jesse trying to find Nicole's kidnappers and protect Fiona and her daughter from the kidnappers.

This is the third and last book in the original "Illegitimate Heirs" series. The series features the grandsons of Emerald Larson who is a very wealthy woman. However her son was a philanderer who had sons and refused to have anything to do with them or their mothers. The sons had no idea who their father was or that they had a multimillion dollar trust fund or that they would inherit part of a multibillion dollar enterprise. They also did not know about each other until Emerald told them. Emerald had given each of them part of her empire to run until the time they would inherit all their money.

Hunter O'Banyon received Life Medevac Helicopter Service which served Devil's Fork, Texas and surrounding areas. It was the only way people in the area could get medical help because of the remoteness of it.
Cassie Marshall was one of the crew members and was five months pregnant. Hunter was not happy with her flying while she was pregnant but they worked things out.

This is the sixth book in Cheryl's "Wings of Refuge" series but if you haven't read the others you can still read this one without a problem because it is also a stand alone book. The heroes in these books are pararescue jumpers who jump into disastrous situations to rescue people in trouble. This includes parachuting behind enemy lines to rescue soldiers trapped there.

Vince Reardon was on his way to meet up with his rescue team and he was riding the motorcycle built by his brother just before he was killed in prison when Valentina Russo ran into him because she was talking on her cell phone and ran a red light. It was a wet, rainy day and when she tried to stop she skidded. As it turned out not only did she destroy his bike but he ended up in the hospital with cuts and bruises and the rescue team had to abort their mission and let another team go.

Valentina Russo had been on the phone talking to a doctor who was taking care of her aunt who had fallen down the stairs on a medical scooter and was in the hospital with pretty severe injuries. She was a lawyer and that was one more reason Vince hated her. However she did volunteer at a refuge for underprivileged kids which made Vince rethink some of his feelings about her.
