Harlequin Presents Extra #1, April '08
Hired for the Boss's Bed by Robyn Grady (HP Extra)
Yummity yum! This is a deliciously modern story, it breezes past old storylines of virginity and alpha males. It's got a modern career focused heroine and a hero who realizes quickly he's in love and makes sacrifices for her/them. Delicious! Happy!
Rating: 4/5 stars, a very positive light read
The Italian's Virgin Bride by Trish Morey (HP Extra)
Very good story, nice romance, great passion, a hero you can like/respect, a fiesty but vulnerable heroine. The abused-women plot was a tad weak/over-used/convenient. The hero jumped too fast (unbelievable) from being a playboy to deciding to marry the heroine the same day he met her (we're supposed to believe it's a business decision and a move to satisfy his parents). Besides those two weak points, it's a really enjoyable story. Good fidelity.
Rating: 3.5/5 stars, a tad weak at points but yay to fidelity.
