As Jordan's brother and best friend are married, her friend and FBI agent Noah says something to her that strikes a chord: "You never step outside your safe environment, your comfort zone. You stay in the shadows." And so she decides to do something spontaneous: she's going to Texas to meet with a history professor to learn about her family's ancient feud. Not long after arriving in the friendly small town, she finds a body in the trunk of her car.

Justin Murphy and Sophia Grosso are a 21st century Romeo & Juliet. The long-standing bitter family feud between the NASCAR racing families seems destined to keep the pair apart. The pair struggle with their new-found love and determining whether it's worth tearing their families apart. Justin shows courage in wanting to test it all in loving Sophia, but she is more hesitant. She couldn't stand to hurt her family. Fun read. I enjoyed it.
