Intimate Moments
Smooth-Talking TExan
This was a fast read for an relaxing afternoon.
Lyn Stone ~ Under the Gun ~ SIM #1330 (Nov 04) ~ Special Ops [206]
This book was on my TBF list for a long, long time... ever since, in fact, I read the book directly after this one, which was the first of Lyn Stone's Special Ops books that I read.
The stories in the series are not only romances laced with action and adventure, but SEXTANT is a government agency that fights terrorism with one interesting difference: the members of SEXTANT all have some sort of psychic gifts ~ how cool is that? Of course I was immediately intrigued by the premise and each story that I've read has been a keeper. And finally finding the one book that I didn't have ~ and this being the month in which I get to work on series I collect ~ was even better. It was great to finally read Holly's and Will's story; it was certainly more emotional than I had expected, but it lived up to all expectations ~ and then some. VERY, VERY, VERY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

Private detective, Cade McKnight made a promise to Constance Freeman that he would find her long-lost granddaughter, heir to the Triple M. He found three girls the same age that had entered the foster system at the same time. Since Cade wasn't sure which might be the heir all three came to live at the Triple M while he narrowed it down. One of the girls, Delia Scanlon, is an independent city girl. She has always done things herself. She has recently discovered she has an eight year old half brother she wants custody of but is afraid the courts will not find her worthy because underneath her cool controlled exterior is still the scared little girl. Delia can't let herself fall for Cade. She wants security and a family. Cade had that once. He doesn't think he deserves that kind of happiness again.
