Bachelor in Need by Jessica Steele (HR 3615)
Back Cover:
Jegar was in need of a woman's touch - and only Fennia's would do. Fennia was the ideal person to look after Jegar's niece, Lucie, in her parents' absence, and that would mean staying at Jegar's plush apartment. She could answer his need for a nanny - but not for a live-in lover.
Spoiler Warning: All my reviews contain spoilers
Favourite Scene: (the hero rings the bell on the heroine's nursery)
"You're not a parent?" She chose not to answer his question.
"Not to my knowledge," he answered with a smile.
The Italian Tycoon's Mistress by Cathy Williams (HP Extra 13)
Back Cover:
Top tycoon Rocco Losi is legendary for being arrogant and demanding! When he takes over Losi Construction, he confirms his reputation by trying to sack Amy Hogan!
But Rocco's presumption that Amy will leave quietly is challenged—by Amy! Who is this little spitfire who thinks she can outargue him…and turn him on? Maybe he'll keep Amy on after all— as his employee and his mistress!
Spoiler Warning: All my reviews contain spoilers to some degree
Favourite Scene: (touching physical closeness, good moment of intimacy)
She slipped from the chair and went to the sofa, squatting down right in front of him and horribly tempted to reach out and touch him. This semi-darkness was all very well for headaches, she thought with agitation, but it was wreaking havoc with her common sense. Rocco Losi needed her help about as much as a lion needed an ant. And now that she was here, inches away from him, her well-intentioned heart was hammering with a feeling that had nothing to do with comforting him out of his temporary vulnerability.
She began edging a little backwards and was unprepared for his hand reaching out to cup the back of her neck.
‘No, stay. I like that. I like you right here.’
Right here, within touching distance, he added to himself.
Golden Fever by Carole Mortimer (HP 579)
Back Cover:
For five years she tried to forget him. During that time Clare had become a confident, mature, engaged woman-as well as an internationally famous film star. "Rourke Somerville is bad news for any girl, " the young Clare had been told. If only she had listened she could have spared herself a lot of pain, for Rourke had made a mockery of her love. Yet seeing him again brought back memories as vivid as yesterday. And Clare was soon making a mockery of her engagement to another man.
Favourite Scene: (I love the "when can I have you?" line)
'It matters to me what you want," he answered her now. 'Do you want me?'
His direct approach was too much for her, and she blushed a deep red. 'Certainly not!' she replied in a shocked voice.
'I want you.'
Clare swallowed hard. 'You—you do?'
'Mm,' he nodded, his eyes warm on her lips. 'When can I have you?'
Engaged to Jarrod Stone by Carole Mortimer (HP 388)
Favourite Scene:
'You little hellcat!' he said fiercely. 'If you have to hate me I might as well give you a damn good reason for!'
He pulled her roughly against him, bending his head to loom over her for several long seconds. Brooke watched him as if in a dream, watching as he slowly lowered his head, his lips claiming hers in a kiss that was totally savage. He forced her lips apart
Another Fav Scene: (I love how she says "happily")
'God, you're naked underneath this top!' he groaned against her lips.
'I know,' she answered happily.
Pagan Surrender by Robyn Donald (HP 1639)
Front Teaser:
He turned andsaw her.
For a moment they both stood perfectly still, staring at each other.
‘Tegan Jones,’ he said through his teeth. ‘I wondered when you were going to crawl out of the woodwork.’
‘Mr Sinclair,’ she responded numbly, forcing her outstretched hand to stop trembling.
‘What the hell are you doing here? Looking for another rich man to fleece?’
My Review:
They met 10 years ago when the heroine was 18 and broke her engagement to Sam, the wheelchair ridden friend of the hero. The hero thought she was a gold-digger who used Sam and discarded him, and he called her names and was very bitter towards her. They meet again because he contracts her interior decorating company to work on his home, her ideas are pitched, and he likes her ideas but someone else put their name on the proposal to avoid a blow-up. When he finds out she's involved, he's angry, but soon he apologizes for the past and asks her out. They date. They eventually have sex. They start to have problems with trust: the heroine thinks the hero is using her for some twisted revenge, and the hero doesn't want to have to defend himself against ridiculous accusations.

Temptation with capital T
Claudia had been warned - working for Ellis Lefevre, the dynamic head of a multinational corporation, would be more than challenging. She knew he was a troublemaker, but then, that had been part of the job's appeal.
But when Ellis locked her in his hotel suite to type a confidential report for an important meeting, Claudia began to have serious doubts about her boss and his unusual working methods.
She was tempted to tell him what to do with his job, but that would mean severing their relationship. And Claudia didn't know if she could do that to the one man who had finally set her heart on fire....
The Italian's Wedding Ultimatum by Kim Lawrence (HP 2638)
Back Cover:
Alessandro Di Livio is fiercely protective of his family, and he's determined to keep gold-digging Sam Maguire away from his sister's husband…even if it means seducing her himself!
Sam is no femme fatale—in fact she's a virgin! But under Alessandro's expert touch she succumbs to one night in his arms. And when passion leads to pregnancy, Sam knows that Alessandro will do whatever it takes to have her as his wife and their baby as his heir!
My Review:
Mmmm. I really liked the dynamic between the hero/heroine, it was combatative, sparks flew, insults hit the air, and they got grabby! The hero was a man you could like and respect, yet he was also sexy and had an in-your-face aggressive side (which I enjoyed). Case in point: the hero didn't enjoy being hidden away in the heroine's bedroom when she had guests, so he unbuckled his belt and unbottoned his pants and swanned in mid conversation complaining about her leaving him in bed. *grin*
The Guardian's Forbidden Mistress by Miranda Lee (HP 2701)
Back Cover:
He couldn't resist her innocence…
Nick Coleman was one of Sydney's most eligible billionaires. Love 'em and leave 'em—that was Nick's mantra. But he couldn't do that to Sarah; he had promised he would act as her guardian and protect her. Yet he wanted her, badly…. Sarah was soon to claim her inheritance.
She'd be a sitting duck to predators looking for a rich, innocent girl. Perhaps it was Nick's responsibility to personally teach her how wicked and seductive a man could be….
My Review:
Yeah, the back cover was misleading. It says "her innocence" and "teaching her" when really the heroine has had multiple lovers (though they were not very good lovers) and is pretty casual about sex. It makes the heroine sound as if she's moderately experienced, but just plain bad in the sack.
