One Wrong Step

challenge_name:

This was a great book, and the first I've read of this author. Playboy journalist John McAllister can't get his mind off of Celie, who is smack dab in the middle of her ex-husband's murder investigation. I liked that this story held a criminal investigation plot without the hero being police. It was a nice change, and easy to fall in love with the characters. Great writing!

Jonathon and Caroline Kushner were happily married for 5 years, and Caroline, a former high fashion model, had even taken up working on the fashion section at Jonathon's paper. But then Caroline came home one day to find a naked woman in her bed and Jonathon fully dressed nearby, so she slammed out of his life and that was a month ago.
