Phantom Pleasures by Julie Leto

The beginning of a new series, this book does a great job of introducing the Forsyths and the mystery that surrounds what happened to them one fateful evening in 1747. When the Forsyth brothers approach Valoren seeking to save their sister and the gypsies living there, something odd happens.

When Demons Walk

challenge_name:

A fantasy setting that mixes medieval and modern type settings. Doesn't sound like it should work, but Patricia Briggs works her magic and makes this storyline a page  turner.

Phantom Pleasures by Julie Leto

challenge_name:

Phantom Pleasures is the first in a paranormal series by Julie Leto.  It's a good start.  I enjoyed the main characters and the "supporting" characters as well.  Also, the evil K'vr and the division of them into two factions is interesting and will be interesting as it plays out in future books.  Good story.
