Spoiler Warning: All my reviews contain spoilers to some degree

Content Warning: Dark story, intensely emotional, a total roller coaster.  Know this though, I rated it 5/5 stars.  Holy heck, I was totally pulled in and had tears in my eyes the whole time.  The H/h were both faithful, both unable to move on after their breakup.  This is the best book I've read from Jane Porter.

Just fabulous! Reading this sent me straight to Amazon to buy as many of her other books as I can afford! I read this on a long train journey and got a lot of odd looks as I could not restrain myself from laughing out loud every couple of pages.

Favourite Scene:

She gave up on the unequal fight and folded into the heat and hardness of him, abandoning herself to the savage potency of his hunger as he swept her off her feet and carried her out of the room.

Di Cesare's Pregnant Mistress by Chantelle Shaw (HP 2727)

challenge_name:

Back Cover:

Sexy, arrogant Bruno Di Cesare hears interior designer Tamsin Stewart is a gold digger. But on meeting her he's instantly attracted, and hires her to work on his Tuscan villa. Down-to-earth Tamsin knows the Italian billionaire is ruthless yet she can't resist him. Tamsin must leave Bruno to save her heart, but then she discovers she's pregnant….

Scene: (this captures the dynamic of the story: hero feeling superior to the heroine, she's innocent but he's self-righteous)

And after awarding her a look of blistering disgust he strode from the room, leaving Tamsin shaking with rage and misery that yet again she had fallen into his arms, only for him to humiliate her.

Pregnancy of Passion by Lucy Monroe (HP 2590)

Back Cover:

It was a year since their tempestuous affair had ended. So why was he back? Elisa trusted Salvatore di Vitale as far as she could throw him. And, as the wealthy Sicilian was over six feet tall, that wasn't very far.
Salvatore told Elisa he had come to protect her. And if their close proximity led to passion...and if passion should lead to pregnancy...all the better! Because then Elisa would have to marry him, which was Salvatore's plan all along.

My Review:

I loved Pregnancy of Passion.  The hero and heroine were lovers who broke up a year ago because of a miscarriage (and him stupidly thinking he wasn't the father).  The hero said that from the moment she told him about the baby, he considered them married in his eyes, and he acted accordingly.  He chased her, he watched over her, he felt she was his, he was faithful, he valued her as his and put her safety above everything else.  *sigh*  That was a strong warm love that just made me feel real good.
