Favourite Scene:
'Do you think I am a complete fool?' she shouted at him so loudly her voice cracked.
Unhurriedly, Angelos Petronides shifted his incredibly long legs and fluidly unfolded to his full height again, his complete control mocking her loss of temper. 'With regard to some of your past decisions in life...how frank am I allowed to be?'

Favourite Scene: (he propositions her, pretty coldly, but I like that it's direct)
He leaned back in his chair. ‘I’m going on to Tahiti for a week.’
‘How nice,’ she responded cautiously.
‘Come with me.’
The straightforward proposition sliced her composure into ribbons. It also hurt some hidden, vulnerable part of her; in his glance she saw nothing but cool speculation, as though she was something pretty he wanted and could afford, a thing to play with and then discard once the novelty wore off.
Outraged, she hid her seething emotions with a slight smile. ‘You’re very kind,’ she said calmly, ‘but no thanks.’ She wasn’t some glamorous, brainless sex toy willing to trade her body for a short passionate interlude.
He kept her pinned with that uncomfortably penetrating gaze. ‘Are you in love with Hawke Kennedy?'

Favourite Scene:
Kate found that she didn't want him to go like this, with just a casual goodbye, not tonight of all nights. She lifted her hand towards him. 'Hugo.'
'Yes?'
Slowly she dropped her hand and shook her head.
'Oh—nothing.' 'Just—Hugo?'
'Yes.' Her glance met his and she thought she saw an I understanding light in his eyes—understanding and something else she couldn't fathom.
He stepped forward, pulled her to him, and kissed her hard on the mouth.

Favourite Scene: (smart heroine)
"Beauty doesn't mean much in the scheme of life." And in her opinion, it often got in the way.
"Coupled with brains and a passionate nature, it's a pretty potent package." Was he implying he saw her that way? "Few men care about what's under the surface."
"I'm unique."
"I get that you'd like me to believe that."

I really liked this book! The hero is hunky but a bit of a geek. :) The heroine has hang ups that are real. LOVED the email posts between them! Excellent read!
Once Bitten, Twice Shy by Robyn Donald (HP 1565)
Back Cover:
Beauty and the beast
Fashion model Simone Atkinson had her reasons for being afraid of men whose guarded expressions hid private demons. Which is why all alarms went off when Angus Grey began his pursuit. He' d obviously convinced himself he knew exactly the kind of woman she was.
Lost in a wasteland of bitter desire, Angus expected a greedy little sensualist, but Simone vowed to prove him wrong. Fascinated by his strength, his gentleness, the passion he kept so fIrmly under control, she was tempted to let down her guard. Dare she give love a second chance?
My Review:
The heroine married an impotent man, he killed himself and she has a rep now as a man killer. She's a virgin and she's a model, a conflict of appearance. She's also an aspiring author. The hero misjudges her, thinks she's promiscuous, thinks she resembles his ex-wife who was also a model, and he punishes her by proxy in a way. He sets out to seduce her, but when she does give herself to him, it's completely willingly and it's what she wants.
The Billionaire’s Marriage Bargain by Carole Mortimer (HP 2663)

Kenzie has no choice but to agree, but finds being alone with Dominick a delicious temptation...though stolen passion has its price. How will Dominick reacts when he hears Kenzie's important news. Favourite Scene: ‘When I next take you to bed, Kenzie—and I am going to take you to bed—it’s going to be on my terms, and when I choose. Tonight was just to see if you’re as immune to me as you claimed to be when you walked out on me.’
My Review:
Mmmm! I liked this story of a marriage gone bad. I loved that the hero never discarded and discounted the heroine. Even thinking she was unfaithful, he never didn't care, his thoughts were always centred on HER. His time after the separation was spent planning revenge on the heroine and her "lover" and he was dodging her attempts to divorce him.
Bought For the Frenchman's Pleasure by Abby Green
Hot hot hot! The sexual tension almost burns your finger while you read. Loved this book and the internal conflicts that Abby created for her hero and heroine are very raw and real. Definately a keeper!
