new to me author

107. Linda Berry ~ Death and the Icebox ~ WorldWide Mystery (2007)

challenge_name:

A Trudy Roundtree Mystery     I got this book last summer along with Steven F. Havill's Statute of Limitations (which I've yet to read) and just never did get around to reading it.  In fact, I very nearly gave the book away, but something kept me from getting rid of it and whoa, am I ever glad that it did.  I finally read it due to a review, that I cannot find!, and the fact that it fit in with the March challenge (anyone tired yet of me talking about the March challenge?  I promise, this is the last time!!).  Anyway... reading this mystery someone's ~ and I keep thinking that Paisley is the one, but I can't find it... Merri? ~ review prompted me to add it to my list and I am now kicking myself... because of course now I want to get all of Linda Berry's Trudy Roundtree Mystery books.

March mini-challenge

I never plan on 'winning' any of these mini-challenges, but I did keep track this month (got to love tags!). The new to me authors I discovered were ::

Jessica Hart (Romance)

Charlene Teglia

Diana Holquist -- this book RITA'd

Robyn Grady (Desire)

Claire Baxter (Romance)

Patricia Kay (NEXT)

Poseidon's Daughter by Jessica Hart

challenge_name:

In 1992, they had sex in Romance. My how the years have changed. I know there are still behind-closed-doors scenes, but this was beach sex. Wonderfully done too.

Wild Wild West by Charlene Teglia

challenge_name:

Three novellas about three cowboy best friends and the women who change their life in one night. I love simple stories where no one gets dragged through the mud. These were uber-sexy shorts about how meeting the right person at the right time can change everything. I am so glad she left them short and didn't try and drag them out by making them angsty. Lots of fun.

Falling For The Frenchman by Claire Baxter

challenge_name:

I've been meaning to read this book forever...but it got buried on the shelf...

March's challenge so far... and books

Well, so far this month I've read 11 books... and I'm working on my 12th.  Of these, all but one can't be counted as new or new-to-me ~ Megan Hart ~ but the 6 ebook stories of hers that I read did come from a new-to-me ebook publisher... does that count?  LOL
So far my new-to-me authors and / or lines are (in bold type):

Wish Come True by Patricia Kay

challenge_name:

Wedding Bell Blues by Charlotte Douglas (NEXT)

challenge_name:

This is one of the Maggie Skerritt mysteries, but I haven't read the others. Like the Teddy Bayer mysteries also from NEXT, you don't have to be up on the series to keep up wth the characters.

The Magnate's Marriage Demand by Robyn Grady

challenge_name:

I usually don't read pregnant heroine books - especially when I am preggers myself...but it's Robbie, so I had to be supportive and buy it :) She dies such a great job with forming characters and molding them into the best they can be. It's a joy to read her stories.

Sexiest Man Alive by Diana Holquist

challenge_name:

Who can resist the title Sexiest Man Alive? Her next one is called Hungry For More. She gives good title, this chick.

The book is fun too! A terminally shy seamstress is told by her gypsy psychic sister her one true love is the sexiest man alive...or at least has the same name. And when he turns up in her life, she has to wonder if her sister might be right.
