The Black Sheep (Harlequin Romance, No 2930) (August 1988) by Susan Fox

challenge_name:

I pulled this oldie out the other day and decided to read it, expecting that after almost 20 years it would not have the same pull on my heart that it did when it was first published. Imagine my surprise when I found actual tears pooling in my eyes. This timeless tale is not dated at all!

Cinderella After Midnight by Mary Burchell (M&B/HR copyright 1945, reprinted)

challenge_name:

This book was copyright 1945 but reprinted several times. I chose it b/c I was curious about what Mary Burchell -- who is credited with saving lives (by helping Jews escape from contintental Europe to the UK beginning in 1934) and basically spying/smuggling during WWII -- would write like. I really enjoyed the experience.

Whitehorn's Woman by Barbara McCauley (Desire August 1993

challenge_name:

Jonas Whitehorn was a gorgeous, grouchy, all-around unbearable man, but
that was his business. His grandfather on the other hand was Brook
Devlin's business and she wasn't leaving Arizona until the
elderly potter agreed to sell his work. But when Blue Eagle Whitehorn
began whispering about how she was the woman for Jonas, Brook knew
even the very wise could be very wrong.

Husband Needed by Cathy Linz (Desire September 1997)

Tick Tock Goes the Baby Clock by Julianna Morris (Silhouette Romance July 2001)

challenge_name:

I've been reading lots of books related to babies lately so most of my comments reflect that. Hehe...The desire to have a baby is apparently a good reason to find a man according to standard romance fare. There have to be other things that men are good for.

One Small Secret

challenge_name:

I'm still trying to figure out this site, but I think that I'm going to like it. I love myspace and I like facebook, but this is really awesome. I'll be visiting everyone and reading their posts as soon as I get this thing figured out. :)

One Small Secret by Meagan McKinney (Desire June 1999)

The Perfect Father by Elizabeth Bevarly

challenge_name:

One more tonight...I'm watching the election results. This is a really interesting election. Two states in and we have two different candidates from each party that have won the primaries. I usually don't pay attention until the general elections (I vote in those), but this is interesting none the less.
