I didn't want to put this book down because I was caught up in the story of a beautiful woman fleeing her abusive, possessive ex-husband. Terri Reed didn't let the suspense lag even when I thought Faith had found sanctuary.

In a diner in Oregon, she meets a rancher, Luke Campbell, who needs a companion/caregiver for his mother who is recovering from a heart attack.. Faith thinks she'll be ‘out of sight' on a ranch, so she takes the job and quickly finds a friend in Luke's mother.

Luke, a captain on leave from the military, wants to get his mother back on the road to recovery before he heads back to his troops. But his attraction to Faith has him hesitating, especially when he realizes she's in danger and his protective instincts kick in.  

I had hoped that Sun Kissed would be followed by book that I could enjoy more, I was disappointed.

I enjoyed this book. Ex-nun Veronica Callahan falls for Mike Delancey both literally and physically. He's everything she wants in a husband and father to her future children.

Mike, a former cop, has seen what happens when love goes wrong. He doesn't want a wife or kids. He knows Veronica has feelings for him but he's determined to ignore them.

But will she be waiting when he finally comes around?

This book didn't seem ‘old' because of its use of cell phones, etc. Because it's the start of a trilogy, a lot of effort was put into setting the next 2 books up. I found the actual romance between Colette and Tate slow to develop, but because Colette is still a grieving widow, the story couldn't be rushed.

This book delves into the wine trade. If you want to know what process is involved from getting the grape off the vine until it's poured into a glass on your dining table, then this trilogy should be on your reading list.
