A Spooktacular Halloween (with pics!)

Everybody Loves a Party...............

So here’s a very blurry shot (let’s call it artistic) of the Harlequin party at National RWA this year.  Just like every year, the Harlequin party is the one everyone wants to attend. Close your eyes and picture this—(wait a minute, if you close your eyes you won’t be able to read this, so never mind)—

You’re in the ballroom at the Ritz hotel.  The decorations are amazing and as you walk in, there’s a giant cake celebrating Harlequin’s 60th anniversary. But there’s more… Since we’re celebrating those 60 years, there are dessert stations all around the room, each of them featuring a different decade of deliciousness.  And let’s not forget the star of the show, the chocolate fountain!

More RWA National Pics!

Yup, that was me, falling down on the job yesterday when it comes to blogging. *sigh* I’m dragging on this uphill climb. LOL But, I promised more pics and here are a few more!

Top Ten Cool Things about RWA National 2009

If you read or write romance and spend any time online at all, you probably know that the Romance Writers of America national conference was last week.  Most of us who attended are still recovering from masquerading as an extrovert, foregoing sleep and consuming enough chocolate to save a third-world country.

This year’s conference in DC rocked on so many levels!  The city was a great place to explore, the hotel was beautiful with wonderfully accommodating employees, and the conference events I attended were educational and inspirational.

Harlequin Mills & Boon History!

Myself and a group of talented authors have banded together to celebrate the reading and writing of traditional mainstream romance. We have called our group the Classic Romance Revival and today --April 3rd--is our official launch!

We are blessed to have a Grand Lady of Romance help us kick off the event.

The games people play

I'm hosting the annual Christmas party for my husband's family on Saturday (it makes up for me never having to cook Thanksgiving dinner, right?). It's a fun event with about 23 people of all ages and we always have a great time. Last year we hired a neighbor who has clydesdales and a big haywagon to take us all caroling through our small town and my husband's big-city family all loved it!
