'My offer... My body!' she gasped.
'Yes.' His eyes didn't leave her face. 'Starting now,' he insisted with silken emphasis.

He took the glass from her fingers and set it on the table that stood conveniently near. Things always worked that way for Jake. He stepped near enough for her to feel his energy but not close enough that they were actually touching. A sliver of electric-charged atmosphere separated them.

‘Going for more than friendly now, Emma,’ he warned her.

Favourite Scene: (I love how he knew he needed her in his life, but he resented it and fought it)

"I knew it when I saw you that first night, remember?  You sat on the lounger and there were tears on your lashes and I knew then that whatever had happened, I'd get no rest until you were my wife." He held her closely, all passion spent, only an incredible tenderness left.   

Merrin sighed.  "You were an absolute beast to me."  

"Well, I didn't say I was happy about it."
