The Walking Wind
The Walking Wind by Tony Hillerman
Audio book read by George Guidall
2002, 6 CDs
Up Against the Wall by Julie Miller (Harlequin Intrigue, 2007)
Not as good as previous books by Miller, but still quite decent.
My rating: 3/5
From the back cover:
“Stuck between rock hard and a hard place.
“He was built like a tank, and he was undercover in Kansas City’s seediest district. Waist-deep in the trouble that came along with the Vice Squad, Seth Cartwright had unwanted company.
Cold Case by Mary Burton (SRS – 01 ’08)
Tara is a reporter, Alec is a cop. She has decided to investigate a cold case – the disappearance of a society wife on her wedding day. The case is full of twists and turns and is very intriguing, I guessed parts of its, but other parts totally threw me. The chemistry between Alec and Tara is good, the ending seemed well-written and very situational. I will definitely be reading another story by Ms. Burton.

Restless Hearts Marta Perry SHLI
Finally, a book I can love! The past few books I've read have not been what I'm used to. Since I ordered this one in that same shipment, well, I wasn't expecting much. When DH came in from work last night at 11 PM he came in, looked at me, said, "I guess this one is better than the last few?"
I didn't know I was so transparent!!!
Be My Baby by Susan Anderson (Avon)
Juliet Astor Lowell comes from a "good family" and her grandmother who raised her has kept her smothered for years, so she's excited when she gets the chance to preside over the opening of a hotel in the company chain (she works for her absent father) in New Orleans away from the family influence (they're from Boston) - or so she thought.
It's a Wonderfully Sexy Life by Hope Tarr - Blaze 293 Dec 06
Talk about an eye opener! You might as well say th
at after awhile, I just kept my glasses off because I was tired of clearing the fog off them!
Let me say that I don't read anything with a heat level higher than - yummy. So why did I read this Extreme Blaze? Well, because I won it during last fall's open house. Hope Tarr sent me an autographed copy as well as an awesome Christmas gift and I thought the least I could do was write a book review about it. I mean honestly, it's amazing what a girl will do for the sake of Literacy!

The Cradle Will Fall by Maggie Price (Silhouette Intimate Moments #1276, 2004)
Third in the Line of Duty series (after Sure Bet #1263 and Hidden Agenda #1269). I enjoyed this one. The characters were well-developed and believable, and the plot carefully constructed. The only thing that kept this one from being an all out 4/5 was that the ending seemed rushed…but overall, this was a really good read. I’ll definitely be on the lookout for the other books in this series.
