An intriguing voice in police procedural thriller

Thrilling Chicago police procedural. Cold Case, local politics, a flawed policeman and a street-new fun bodybuilder policewoman.

Strangers is the newest JD Robb/Eve Dallas Mystery.  In this story, Thomas Anders is found dead in a way that seems to scream accidental death, but is quickly found to be a homicide.  However, the two people that have the most to gain have solid alibis and the vic seems to be a genuinely good guy.  Who did it and why. 

There are many Harry Bosh police procedurals, but this is the first one I'm reading and author Michael Connolley did not disappoint me.  Detective Bosh (of Open Cold Cases) is a complex hero, mostly good, but also able to twist the rules if he thinks the system is favoring the bad guy.

Characters - Darby McCormick was a teenager wishing for an interesting life when she witnessed a murder and survived an attempt on her life.  After 24 years, she is a crime-scene investigator for Boston PD and it looks like things have come full circle.
