Melanie's been heating up the Presents world with her particularly fiery external conflicts and passionate heroes and heroines. INNOCENT WIFE, BABY OF SHAME is one of those delicious stories in which the heroine truly looks in the wrong--even she thinks she's in the wrong--and you can't quite see how it's all going to work out. The hero is QUITE strong and a bit cruel...but I love it!

This book worked despite the odds. Why despite the od
ds? Because the H has just suffered a coronary and is looking for a stress-free place to relax when he decides to buy...on sight...a log house owned by a 7 mo pregnant woman who makes him uncomfortable. Not only does he decide to buy it, but he actually moves in and starts taking care of her. If he's so worried about having more heart problems, then the last place he should be is with a woman who could go into labor at any time. (It's possible - I have 4 kids and never made it to the 9th month with any of them!)
