Private Investigator

I really like this series.  The heroine is sassy and fun.

I didn't enjoy this as much as I'd hoped I would, largely due to the bad language and some of the situations.  However, the mystery is good.  What starts out as a hunt for a missing cat heir (yes, heir to a fortune worth millions) turns into something far more sinister and deadly.  On top of her first big case for the law firm where she works, Sara Townley's Las Vegas honeymoon shows up to haunt her when her husband, Navy SEAL Connor Macnamara, finally gets back from a secret mission and takes up residence in her suddenly too-small apartment. 

A fantastic follow-up to his first book, Stealing the Dragon. Maleeny does a nice job of being tongue in cheek while still making you believe his characters are in real peril.

It's really the cover that drew my attention to this book. It looked like a fun read and it was! This is third novel featuring Sophie Katz as the mystery novelist who keeps finding real-life danger and P.I. Anatoly Darinsky who is just trying to keep her out of trouble.
